We are still amazed how beautiful a region the Lot is! Pristine villages and little towns, old majestic architecture, charming farmyards and barns interspersed with lovely meadows of the causses where goats and sheep graze peacefully, the area is a real treat for the eye! Here you find the wonderful valley of the Lot with spectacular rock cliffs and picturesque villages all of this cut trough by the river. In the Lot you arrive in a romantic setting of vineyards and endless views. These are just a few of the wonderful ingredients for your holiday in the Lot.

Besides the georgeous city of Cahors, the well-known pilgrimage town Rocamadour and all of 'les plus beaux villages de la France', you will also find the most beautiful caves of France! This region is also known for its many castles like Castelnau-Bretenoux, Montal, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Beynac-et-Cazennac, to name just a few.

Let your taste buds be treated by the numerous local products: freshly cultivated strawberries and tomatoes from the valley of the Lot, the melons of the Quercy, truffels from our garden, duck and the famous foie gras. All of this with a tasty glass of Cahors wine form one of the several vineyards, the Lot offers it all!

Regular markets are held in the towns and villages troughout the year. In summer 'marchés des producteurs' (farmer markets) and 'marchés nocturnes' (evening markets) take place, where local products can be bought or ... consumed right away.

In July and August each community in the area has exciting activities to offer. You will find classical or other musical concerts, theatres and authentic games on the cultural agenda, or a visit to one of the many churches. Perhaps you prefer a museum? Finally you may end up wandering around the many antique markets, brocantes and 'vide greniers'(boot fairs)?
